Supply Chain Trustees Inc. was mandated by its new client, a regional flagship in the wood transformation industry, to fill this new position. A glocal (global & local) family company, our client is looking for a resilient person to oversee the sourcing, purchasing, and transportation of goods and services within their organization. The role involves managing the supply chain, negotiating with suppliers, ensuring efficient logistics, and maintaining the flow of materials from suppliers to production or final consumers.

The position reports directly to the General Manager and has direct responsibility for a multidisciplinary team of 6 people.

This position requires strong knowledge of supply chain management, vendor negotiations, and logistics coordination to ensure the smooth and cost-effective operation of the company’s supply chain.

The ideal candidate:

Have a strong manufacturing experience.

10 years of experience in procurement, logistics or supply chain management, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership position

Strong negotiation, communication and problem-solving skills

Proficiency with procurement and logistics software (SAP Ariba is desirable)

Knowledge of transportation and warehouse management, inventory control and global supply chain practices.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
